DENZA, the world’s first premium brand exclusively dedicated to new-energy vehicles in the pursuit of sustainable mobility, is set to attract new customers drawn to its unique blend of cutting-edge innovation and European-inspired elegance. To support this ambition, Daniel Craig has emerged as an exceptional partner, lending his image to several flagship models launched this year, through major campaigns, from communication materials to advertising films.

This partnership with one of the world’s most iconic figures further cements DENZA’s international reputation.

DENZA, the BYD Group’s premium, technology-focused car brand, is unveiling the flagship model of its European market launch: the Z9GT.

Combining a sleek and sophisticated shooting brake silhouette with cutting-edge technology, the Z9GT offers a unique take on premium grand touring. It is aimed at discerning customers seeking absolute comfort underpinned by innovation. Available in a 100% electric version or a Super Hybrid version with DM (Dual Mode), it offers a choice between a significant zero-emission range and optimal flexibility over long distances, without compromising on performance. Regardless of the powertrain, the Z9GT features the BYD Group’s FLASH Charging technology. This technology delivers power of up to 1,500 kW, enabling it to deliver on the promise: ‘Ready in 5, charged in 9, +3 in cold weather’.

A new benchmark in Europe thanks to FLASH Charging and the second-generation Blade battery

As the model marking the launch of the DENZA brand, the Z9GT brings the BYD Group’s latest innovations to Europe: FLASH Charging technology and the second generation of the Blade battery, the Blade 2.0.

FLASH Charging technology delivers up to 1,500 kW of power via a single connector (Chinese market), with charging times comparable to filling up with petrol. The system can take the battery from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. Even at -30°C, an extreme temperature that usually slows down charging performance, the Z9GT can go from 20% to 97% in twelve minutes. This performance delivers on the promise: ‘Ready in 5, charged in 9, +3 in cold weather’.

The second-generation Blade battery in the electric version has a capacity of 122.49 kWh, delivering a range of over 600 km according to the WLTP cycle. Combined with FLASH Charging technology, it ensures that the electric Z9GT delivers high performance whilst retaining a genuine ability to cover long distances.

A rear-wheel-drive version, fitted with the same battery, will join the range in Europe before the end of 2026, with a range of up to 800 km.
Exterior design: elegant and sophisticated lines, inspired by the fluidity of silk

The Z9GT has been designed to combine elegance with practicality, with a presence that fits just as naturally at a gala evening at the opera as it does on a long motorway journey across the country. Under the guidance of Design Director Wolfgang Egger, this approach has resulted in a benchmark GT with a unique positioning.

The distinctive front end has a look that is both sporty and powerful, with flowing lines reminiscent of the light of a sunrise. It features active air intakes that optimise aerodynamic efficiency, as well as technical elements such as radar sensors and parking sensors, integrated into the front bumper. This design embodies the ‘less is more’ philosophy unique to the Z9GT.

The vehicle’s flanks are characterised by clean surfaces, flowing curves and pronounced shoulders. This seamless continuity of lines ensures a consistent and controlled visual impression of the design from every angle. The large-diameter wheels, proportionate to the bodywork, emphasise the vehicle’s premium positioning and contribute to achieving the ‘golden proportions’, a fundamental principle sought by the design teams. The side skirts also contribute to the Z9GT’s visual impact, projecting a subtle welcome light onto the ground, improving visibility in low-light conditions.

The treatment of the surfaces draws direct inspiration from silk and its ability to drape over shapes. As Wolfgang Egger explains: “If you cover a sculpture or a vehicle such as the DENZA Z9GT first with silk and then with the same material in cotton, you get two very different impressions. Silk drapes naturally over shapes whilst revealing the beauty of what lies beneath.”

At the rear, the Z9GT emphasises its grand tourer character through a design that highlights its width and stability. The hourglass-inspired rear lights echo one another, creating a visual link with the front end.

Above the rear window, a one-piece spoiler extends the roofline, whilst a retractable spoiler acts as a second aerodynamic element. Combined with the air suspension, these features allow the vehicle to be lowered whilst in motion, improving both aerodynamic efficiency and dynamic performance.

Interior: a premium space worthy of a limousine, enhanced by cutting-edge technology.



The Cell-to-Body structure, made possible by the e3 platform, gives the Z9GT a low, balanced silhouette whilst allowing for a completely flat floor. This configuration offers an interior space comparable to that of a saloon, both in terms of volume and the perceived quality of the materials.

Every surface in the cabin is finished with premium materials, ranging from expansive leather panels to precisely fitted, lightly smoked wood inlays. The multi-coloured lighting enhances the on-board experience and allows the interior ambience to be finely tuned.

The front seats feature eight-way electric adjustment, as well as ten-point massage, ventilation and heating functions. They also incorporate, in a world first, active side bolsters, powered by the vehicle’s pneumatic system, providing additional support when cornering.

In the rear, the extra-wide seats also feature heating, ventilation and massage functions, as well as leg rests, creating an exclusive relaxation area for long journeys.

The Z9GT features the latest infotainment technology, centred around a 17.3-inch central screen positioned above the dashboard. This is complemented by two 13.2-inch screens, one dedicated to driving information and the other to the front passenger’s interactions. A 50-inch augmented reality head-up display completes the package, whilst screens integrated into the doors can display images from the digital rear-view mirrors, eliminating traditional blind spots.

The system is based on DiLink, DENZA’s latest-generation infotainment software, which integrates Google services for connected navigation and voice assistance. It also includes an AI-powered smart assistant capable of interpreting vehicle data and interacting with passengers in a natural way.

The cabin also features a refrigerated compartment capable of reaching -6°C, powered by the air conditioning system to minimise noise. This is complemented by a four-zone ventilation system and a panoramic glass roof, fitted with a sunblind to ensure thermal comfort in sunny conditions. 50 W wireless charging pads are fitted at the front and rear, complemented by storage compartments and cup holders.

The meticulous soundproofing and the refined nature of the electric and hybrid powertrains ensure a quiet ride at all speeds. When passengers wish to enjoy some audio entertainment, a high-end Devialet audio system featuring 20 speakers and 2,000 W of power uses removable speaker technology to create an immersive sound experience of opera-quality. The integration of Dolby Atmos® enables precise sound spatialisation within the cabin, enhancing clarity, source separation and richness of detail, for a more emotionally engaging experience.
